Attitude is Everything, Get Your Business Noticed

Once you’ve found the perfect business, how do you get the attention you deserve from those who might be able to use your services? A large part of making money with a successful business is having the right attitude. With it, you’re unbeatable. Without it, you will become just one of the pack. Once you believe in yourself, you can start making things happen for you and your business.

Start off with focused sales pitches. Write down what benefits your customer will receive by having your product or using your service. Remember that people buy benefits. Sell your benefits. Part of knowing these benefits is knowing what makes you different from your competition.  Make a written copy of all this information and stick it on your mirror, prop it up on your desk, copy it into your planner and put a copy in your car. Looking at this everyday will help you remember why you are different and what unique benefits you offer.

Part of having the right attitude is changing your thinking. One smart concept to use in every encounter with a prospect is fact, feature, link and benefit. Start off by stating a fact from an expert source that your prospect would believe and tell them about a feature of your business that would address this fact. Link this fact to your business and tell the prospect about the benefit they could receive by doing business with you. By using this formula you’ll be making money in no time and have one of the best businesses around.

Another attitude shift for the workathome business owner is seeing opportunity in questions. When someone asks you “What do you do?”, use this as a signal to look for a need for your service or product. Be sure to include one of your benefits when explaining how you can fill a need. This attitude shift should be apparent in all your marketing materials. Have your business card redesigned so it provides information about your benefits.

Remember that the main task of a business card is to remind the person receiving it that you have the perfect solution to their problem. In addition, create a handout that details the products or services you offer and the benefits to the buyer. When doing this, get to know your competition and make sure that your benefits far outweigh their benefits.

If you do this correctly and consistently, you’ll be making money in no time.
